Das Gebäude bildet den städtebaulichen Abschluss der Düsseldorfer Altstadt. Das größte Volumen hat das Archivgebäude. Es bietet Raum für das Archiv und für die neue Sammlung der Kunstakademie. Hier werden Systeme zur professionellen Lagerung von Bildern und Skulpturen angeboten. Die Außenhaut ist mit rotem Mikromosaik verkleidet.
The building at the end of the old town of Düsseldorf rounds off this area in terms of urban development. The building housing the archives has the greatest volume. It also offers space for the new academy–owned collection and provides a professional storage system for paintings and sculptures. The façade is covered with red micromosaic.
